In Sal-Zar you move the Conte crayon ® to a
new height.
Little correction is possible with Conte crayon.
Sal-Zar is a unifying medium. Rising Stonehenge®
is a paper I have used exclusively when working with
the Sal-Zar Medium. Conte crayon in Sal-Zar is not
suggested as a replacement for the traditional use
of Conte crayons. Do
your finest drawing using Sal-Zar and after you have
done the image in Sal-Zar, and it is completely dry,
say two days later, re-coat the image with Sal-Zar,
removing the excess Sal-Zar by using a large pallet
knife. I believe the slight ambering of the paper
when Sal-Zar is applied benefits the stark-white Stonehenge
paper itself. It doesn’t affect the image or
the paper.
Sal-Zar is impervious to any product
that is spilled or applied on top of Sal-Zar. To determine
this you can test by lifting the image out of the paper
by slicing into the paper with a razor blade; you will
see the image created with the Conte crayon stick is
permanently part of the paper, and has been bound therein
by the Sal-Zar Medium
