Celebrate: Britt Rose nee Hallqvist
Sad news, as Britt, my wife and mother of our four children, Jane, Joan, Cathy and Alex, died November 10th in the evening.
She has been in hospice care for some time now, and recntly contracted Covid. My family is very saddened, and will celebrate her life. She was bold woman, with a srong sense of what was right and a gaurdian of our four cildren in health, and sickness; throughout her life she was there for them, with her care and love. Britt was my love and helpmate in many ways.
My artistic life has many memories and we shared the artist life in Spain, Denmark, New York, Indiana, D.C. and other places. Born in Sweden, the famly name is Hallqvist.
Arrangements for a celebration of her life and recognition of her love for her family will be held on Dec 21 at 7:30PM at the Congregational Church, No. Yarmouth, ME. The church holds a “Blue Christmas” event for any member and others for those who want to attend, not a solo service for Britt, as such.

- Veteran’s Day followed and more sadness was heaped on top of Britt’s passing, and what it meant to me as we were married for 23 yrs…then there is so much out of order and so many wars and death, with an America struggling to find and recapture the American spirit. I volunteered in World War II and in the Korean war. While I didn’t see active combat, I served; in WW II, as a medic: and when I was recalled from the Army active reserve in 1951; i served as M/Sgt, MI; I was sent to Germany, instead of Korea.
